About us
An association of veterinary medicine manufacturers
Animalhealth CZ/SK (AHCZSK) is an association of legal entities that has been active in veterinary medicine since 2004.
Membership is open to legal entities that manufacture research-based veterinary medicinal products and are registered or exclusively represented in the Czech Republic or Slovakia. The products they manufacture must be intended for animal health care.
In a written application, every applicant confirms that it accepts the association’s statutes and will comply with its Code of Practice.
What we do
Four roles we have taken on
We represent the Czech and Slovak veterinary pharmaceutical industry, whose aim is to promote the use of safe, effective, high-quality veterinary medicinal products for the health and well-being of animals.
Responsible handling of medicines
We promote and stand behind the responsible manufacture, promotion, sale, distribution and use of veterinary medicinal products.
Consultative body
We act as a consultative body for the industry, state institutions, the media and the general public in the field in which veterinary pharmaceutical companies operate.
Representing our members
We advance the views and interests of our member companies.
Education and awareness
We provide education and information on the availability of modern therapeutic approaches for veterinarians and animal owners in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Self-regulation
The promotion of veterinary medicines follows rules the industry has set for itself
All promotional activities are governed by applicable law. As with human medicines, they are also subject to further regulations. In addition, all members have committed to respecting the rules set out in the Code of Practice, which was established as a form of self-regulation by the veterinary industry in matters of product promotion.

We are not in this alone
Animalhealth CZ/SK is an associate member of AnimalhealthEurope. Veterinary medicines in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are regulated by ÚSKVBL in Brno and ÚŠKVBL in Nitra; at European level we refer to EMA and EFSA.
